House decoration could be esentialy done with kadomatsu. It is type of Japanese traditional decoration. This type of decorations are usually made of pine and bamboo, which represent longevity and wealth, respectively. It should be placed in front of the house from January 1 until January 7 or January 15, it is concederd as a temprary housing of kami at new year. The designs vary acording the reigon.
